All members be advised of traffic Interuption on entering and exiting of the St Kilda Marina corner Marine Pde and Dickens st. please follow all directives from Police and traffic wardens. St Kilda Marina apologizes for any delays. If you have any real concerns please see event organizers.

Once again members are advised of the tri-athlon on Marine pde this coming Sunday, there will be traffic disruption early morning till early afternoon, please use extreme care when entering and leaving the marina and follow traffic marshals signals, sorry for the Inconvienance.

The BIAV today issued an urgent warning to Victorian recreational vessel operators that the Marine Safety Act 2010 contains a new definition of waters now prohibited to recreational vessel anchoring.

To all the members of St Kilda Marina, the management and staff would like to wish you all a safe and prosperous boating season for 2012/13 a few little reminders Alcohol and boating don’t mix, whilst it is the festive season, drink responsibly for the safety and enjoyment of all.

Coming into the New year don’t forget to get tickets to the Riva new Years Eve party, Once again there will be minor Interuptions on the dry storage gate but bearing in mind that it is New years Eve and there will be security on these nights.

Unfortunately there will be another Triathlete event this Sunday,and that Marina members and the Public will have to wait until there is a break in the cycling or running event. There could be possible delays involved in attempting to cross Beaconsfield Pde and Dicken’s st, the Marina does apologise for this Interruption, if you wish to complain you will have to talk to the relevant event organizers.

Now that the season is upon us, we need to consider our onboard safety, how long has it been since you have checked all your safety gear also has your boat got a basic first aid kit, imagine a nasty wound from a fishing hook and not having the right gear to address the Injury, also letting your friends know where the life jackets or PFD”S are stored? on your vessel.

Remember an accident is an unplanned event, and we all should be prepared for them! so next time your down on your boat give safety a thought we tend to never forget the Tea or Coffee, but neglect the Important things. Happy and Safe boating St Kilda Marina.
