The snapper are here and some prolific catches are being caught at the moment, yesterday I saw dry storage 81 bring in a fine swag of new fish,” they bagged out,where you might ask? well that’s there mark and their not saying! let the fun and games begin. If your new to the marina or boating we all learn quickly about the fishing code of conduct. lets go back to being a kid! Remember playing pirates and hiding the treasure and then making the map of where you buried your treasure? Well the fishermen are just like that ,they all have their marks and they are all secretive about where they go. I find personally if you want to get started try K-Mart fishing section they sell a wide array of G.P.S marks, your friends will stare in amazement at how you know so much, and you only recently purchased your new boat. All jokes aside the fish are here try Williamstown in the afternoon, Brighton at the 13 metre mark, and if you want more fish try heading further south, Black rock and Carrum are also on fire.

Another two tanks arrived.

This week saw the arrival of another two 45,000 litre tanks taking their number up to a total of 5 altogether, these should be connected up shortly, and the installation of high pressure blasters to follow ,this should make it easier to remove salt residue from the boats.

DREDGING FINISHED 2008

Dredging is finally completed,and according to our survey report we have over two metres of water at low tide. Once again! we here at the marina congratulate Brenton and the boys at Birdons for a job well done. Thankyou from all at Stkilda Marina.

New Omega 14-S

Dry storage would like to welcome the latest addition to the fleet. Our new forklift the 14-S Omega short wheel base model she is state of the art comprising automatic joy stick control Cummins 4 cylinder diesel and a fully enclosed cabin. Our other Clark forklift will still be in service and has served us well over the years. Hopefully having two machines now will alleviate any down time due to servicing and repairs.

Toilet Block Refurbishment

The western toilet block after many years has been given a new facelift with the removal and lowering of the roof this now gives Riva patrons better bay views also the new rendering and jarrah decking on the roof gives us one of the most formidable viewing platforms on the bay. Once landscaped no one will know it was a toilet block. Well done Riva and the Marina.
